  • Duration: 03:00
  • A look at how weathering and erosion have changed the shape and appearance of Snowdon in Wales. First, scree is shattered and broken away by frost action in a process called 'weathering'. This is a slow but spectacular process. Erosion also causes changes to the landscape when rocks and stones carried in streams are worn down. Erosion caused a spectacular change to the mountain 1,000,000 years ago when a glacier melted, carving out a U-shaped valley.
