How dandelions travelled to South Georgia
Scandinavian whalers were buried in South Georgia, however to give them a little piece of home, a handful of Norwegian soil was thrown into the grave. They didn’t realise that the soil contained dandelion seeds which have now become widespread in South Georgia.
