Ideas for use in class
  • How should we interpret the use of statues and commemorative plaques in our community? This clip is introduced with a statue in Paris. Pupils are to make a list of the achievements of the man discussed in the clip. As an extension exercise, pupils can then identify three statues/plaques in their own community and discuss why they were erected and what it says about our community today.
