  • In Bhutan, Gordon Buchanan and George McGavin film flying squirrels. They are filmed at night. They are firstly seen in close-up using night vision, and secondly flying from tree to tree in the forests using thermal imaging cameras. Their 70 metre jumps are clearly seen and the reasons for this behaviour are described. First broadcast in 'Lost land of the Tiger' on BBC1 in September 2010.
