Condensing air into liquid form
Liquid nitrogen is used to cool air and condense it into liquid form. Air is a mixture of gases. The presenter fills a balloon with air, which she then cools in liquid nitrogen at -190°C. In the very cold liquid nitrogen the air in the balloon condenses into a very small amount of liquid. When the liquid in the balloon is allowed to warm up it turns to gas once more and re-inflates the balloon.
