Key Info
  • Balanced and unbalanced forces - equilibrium
  • Duration: 02:02
  • Balanced and unbalanced forces are demonstrated using eggs, books and seat cushions. In the first example a force is exerted on an egg in a vice. When more force is applied to the egg it exerts more force on the vice. Eventually of course the egg cracks. In the second example we see some seat springs compressing as more force is applied to them. As they compress they apply more and more force in the opposite direction until the forces balance or reach equilibrium.
