Ideas for use in class
  • Play the 'Fruit Basket' game. Each child is given the name of a fruit and, when the teacher calls it out (e.g. apple), all the 'apples' change places. Repeat a few times but don't call out one of the fruits (e.g. banana). Discuss with the children how they felt when they didn't get a turn to change places. Repeat once more giving everyone a chance to change places. Discuss whether or not this felt better and emphasise how it was much fairer.
