Key Info
Ideas for use in class
  • Idea 1: Arrange students in the room so they demonstrate population distribution and density then watch this clip. Idea 2: Use this clip to introduce a lesson on population distribution and density. Play the first 35 seconds (which suggests why people live where they do) then ask students to use atlases to identify where they think is the best place to live in the world and why. Alternatively, you could ask students to shade a map to show population densities before checking an atlas to find out if they were right.
