Key Info
  • Buddhist prayer and meditation
  • Duration: 04:36
  • Life in a Buddhist monastery in the hills of Scotland, where an important part of each day is prayer and meditation. When Buddhists pray they pray to the Buddha or other enlightened beings. They pray in the temple as a group as well as by themselves in solitude. The prayer flags around the monastery are inscribed with prayers and mantras - when the wind blows the prayers are carried through all parts of the universe. Buddhists meditate to calm the mind and relax into a natural state.
