Key Info
  • The Moon
  • Duration: 01:15
  • The Moon is a huge ball of rock in space which orbits the Earth. On the Moon there are mountains and flat areas called 'seas', although there is no water on the Moon. The Moon's surface is covered in craters made by meteorites. The Moon does not have any light of its own. We only see the Moon when light from the Sun falls on it and is reflected back to us on Earth. Includes footage of the first man landing on the Moon.
