BBC Learning Development

BBC Learning Development is a small team within the BBC's Learning department with the task of creating and developing new multi-platform projects with either a formal or an informal learning focus.

The team supports the activity of BBC Learning through the origination of pilots, prototypes, research, development and strategy that fits within the BBC's core purposes.

This project is a collaboration between BBC Learning and the University of Westminster and is part funded by an AHRC knowledge transfer grant.

It aims to teach new visualisation techniques using BBC data.

Jungle is a way to make sense out of the BBC’s online offering. It includes an index of well over a million different BBC web pages and has many powerful ways of searching, sorting and interrogating them. It aims to make the BBC website easier to navigate by making it easier to prototype websites of the future, and by giving BBC producers an overview of the content already available.
