Making her TV debut on Later this week 21-year-old Karima Francis is a singer songwriter from Blackpool. After drumming in a metal band she turned her attention to singing, winning industry hearts at Manchester new-talent event 'In The City'. Her first album The Author was recently released on Kitchenware records. With her quirky Bob Dylan looks, and a voice that has attracted comparisons to Tracy Chapman, it looks like 2009 could be this girl's year.
