In the first episode of The Last Millionaire, the 12 entrepreneurs meet for the first time and travel to Istanbul - swapping their lives of luxury for a backpackers' hostel. Given a theme of 'youth' the entrepreneurs pair up and began planning how to make a profit in just five days.
Jason and Carl start spreading the word about their exclusive underground party. It's only later in the week when they find a venue, and they struggle to reach an agreement with the bar managers about how much they should get paid. James Taylor and Nathaniel also put on a party and get a team of students to help them with promotion.
Oliver and Lucy decide to sell water by the Blue Mosque but soon realise that in 40°C heat people want their water cold! Jacqueline and James Watt decide to stick to what they know best and offer their services as internet marketing experts to local companies.
Lianne and Oli get a tip-off about a private island where they plan to host a 'model party', inviting Istanbul locals who hope to be spotted by a model scout. Dimple and Natalie, who had no option but to work with each other, struggle to come up with an idea. After enlisting the help of a part-time actor they decide to host two parties in one night - much to Natalie's unease.
At the end of the week the pairs meet up at a local cafe, bringing with them any money they have made that week. One by one, the pairs reveal how much money they have made - and despite finding it difficult to work together, Jacqueline and James have made the most money.
James and Jacqueline spend the night in one of Istanbul's top hotels before flying home while the other ten entrepreneurs remain at the hostel before heading on to the next city - Berlin.
