| Name | Lianne Miller |

The oldest of the entrepreneurs and always immaculately presented, Lianne Miller has an international background. She grew up in South Africa in a strict catholic family, and after having a child in her early 20's went to live in Canada.
Lianne became interested in the potential link between chemical based cosmetics and degenerative diseases when her son was diagnosed with cancer at the age of two.
I'm a workaholic, but I don't see any other choice when you're building a business... the buck stops with you and there's no putting the pen down at 5pm.
Her conviction that a chemical free lifestyle was the healthiest option drove her to look for purely homeopathic and natural products and changed her family's diet completely.
Eighteen years later, having moved to the UK, when her teenage daughter was looking for natural skincare products, Lianne noticed a gap in the market. In 2006, she set up Young & Pure to provide skincare for teens free of toxins and chemicals.
Starting a business was not part of Lianne's plan. She was working for an international bank as a business psychologist and knew nothing about the beauty industry. She was midway through a PhD in Entrepreneurship and was lecturing at a university. But she was ready for a change. Young & Pure is now a global company with its brand in major high street stores.
Lianne believes the five top qualities of an entrepreneur are self belief, self awareness, taking calculated risks, passion and tenacity. She says entrepreneurs don't have the fear of stepping into the unknown that stops other people from doing things.
Her strengths as a business woman are having an inner core strength and self belief. She has a positive frame of mind and says there's a cultural difference being South African that gives her a 'can do' attitude.
I believe if you want something done, give it to a busy person.
Lianne says she's pretty competitive, 'coming second doesn't come into my vocabulary. It's very odd but it doesn't.'
Lianne is thinking about the challenges on The Last Millionaire in terms of 'mind, body and soul'. She thinks the young 'whippersnappers' will be able to teach her a thing or two but she's not concerned about being the oldest entrepreneur.
Lianne thinks her experience of juggling work and kids will help her over the next few weeks. She also says that 'after dealing with such huge things at a young age, everything else is a breeze!'
Lianne likes to keep fit, healthy and looking good with regular yoga, Pilates and pampering sessions. So not getting her hair and nails done each week is going to be something she misses.
Lianne has a strong family network. The longest she's been away from her three children is two weeks, but she's sure she'll be home after the first week, so it's not going to be a problem!
