Series One Athlete Mark gave us his opinion on episode seven in the Philippines.
What did he think of Jarvis? What were his thoughts on the win? Read what he had to say below, or listen to the telephone interview above.
Mark: With regards to Wolé winning I think that it was similar to the things we went through when we went to the different places.
There was always controversy and I think with us, one of the reasons why we voted Jason to win at the end was the fact that Jason's wins were all done on merit.
There was no controversy with the wins what so ever. It doesn’t surprise me that Wolé won in that manner to be honest. If the tribal people vote, they vote. It's as simple as that and you have no control over the matter.
Yes there were some low blows and yes there was a bit of this and that but that’s what happens unfortunately and when you're not as experienced in a sport you're going to make those mistakes.
I think that Wolé was as good as Jarvis, maybe not as elegant or maybe his technique wasn't there as much but certainly his heart and his will to win was just as much as Jarvis. I thought it was a very close call especially in the final so I don't think that any guy should have deserved to win it more than the other.
I tell you what I did like was the fact that Jarvis carried on through even with broken fingers. He went all the way through right to the end.
Brad did this in Mongolia when he had a broken finger so I could relate to Jarvis' pain and the fact that he carried through and in fact I think it was Ed tried to carry through with his knee as well.
I think what I liked about that was the spirit of the guys. Although they were injured they wanted to keep going.
It was just nice to see the heart of the guys really going for it even though they had those injuries and I think that's what I liked about that episode.
Keep an eye out for Mark and Richard next week, who'll be discussing Sumbawa Buffalo Racing .

Six intrepid athletes travel the world to compete against the most remote tribes on earth at their own sports.
Hear what they had to say about the previous episodes:
Week seven and our athletes must have just a week to train to the standard of a black belt sikaranista.
Production Co-Ordinator Tim Pyke takes us behind the scenes in the Philippines.
It's like a cat and mouse game... I'm the cat and not the mouse though.
I think I can do well in the tournament, my confidence level is pretty high...
