Beverley Whyte founded the choir in 2000. The Open Arts Community Choir are an inclusive choir based in Belfast. They consider themselves a choir of a high standard who enjoy choral competitions but the main thing is that they all love to sing. No matter what kind of day they have had on a Monday, when they get to rehearsal all is forgotten once they start singing. This choir want people to focus on the ability rather than the disability.
During the series, we asked you to post your comments for the choirs - many thanks for all the comments you made. The comments system is now closed, but you can still read all the responses below.
Hi Jackie!!
Just got my ticket yesterday! So I'll see you all in the evening performance in the A Foundation. Looking forward to that already!
:D
It was so great to see them all up there, they're fantastic. A special well done to Gareth. Lots of love, Cameron and Claire from the Crescent.
This is what choral singing is all about! Open Arts Community Choir is making their own music, with wonderful harmonies, and no distracting choreography. Moon River is for me the BEST choral sound of the series! Thank you for some beautiful songs!

Loved your singing. You truly feel the words and that's more valuable than anything because I believed everything you were trying to communicate. Hope you can jump over the water again and we can all have a singalong. My brother lives in Belfast so I might catch some of your gigs!
