Choir Profile

Last Minute only formed a few hours before filming the audition video and literally came up with their name just as they began. The members all knew each other from choral groups at Oxford University. They hadn't rehearsed prior to their first Audition and their first proper rehearsal took place in the bus on their journey to the venue. Some members didn’t know which songs they would be performing until the journey down! Choir members work in various roles from accountancy, finance, IT, and environmental work but some are still students in Oxford.

I know they're out of the competition, but this is a plea to anyone who can give them a recording conract. Their choice of songs shown on TV and the version of One Angry Dwarf - oh my lord - absolutely fantastic. If seeing these guys, turn choral singing totally funky and sexy, doesn't inspire hundreds of young people to go and join choirs, then nothing will. Surely Howard Goodall would want kids to be able to buy this on CD!!

It's such a shame the judges made an obvious big lack of judgement. What a fantastic final it would have been with this supurb choir taking part. The result being we have probably lost them forever! Do hope the judges will learn from this and take extra care something similar doesn't happen again next year!

You were in a different league from some of the choirs who stayed in the competition - can only speculate why the judges didn't take you through. Love "Spiderman"!

I thought you were the most talented of all the choirs and cannot understand why you were not selected to continue. Please can you produce a CD of your songs? The arrangements were amazing.

consider it a compliment that OMA did another theme song. Proof once again you lot are miles ahead, and the rest are trying to catch up. Unfair you lot got stood down.

It was totally unfair that you didn't make it through to the final six - the musical complexity of your arrangements and the panache with which you performed them should have had you fighting with ACM for the Last Choir Standing title.

I absolutely agree with you Jill. I keep coming back to listen to this video. It is so clever, and it makes me feel so happy. Such a shame Last Minute went out of the competion so early. Some of the other choirs haven't lived up to their early promise - Last Minute would have shone.
