Choir Profile

Dreemz were formed three years ago by Theresa McKenzie, a local woman who saw that her sister’s children and their friends spent their spare time hanging around shopping malls. The ultimate catalyst was the killing of her niece’s friend by gunshot, aged 16. Theresa decided to invite her nieces and their friends to come along to the church hall, where it was safe and where they could spend time together singing.

Hi Guys.

I really enjoyed your performances on the show and I was sorry to see you leave. I really hope that the MD you found stays with you so that you can continue to grow and develop. Keep singing as it obviously means so much to all of you!

I hope you get the backing you need from your city. You are a choir that a city should be proud of. You are a young choir, so look ahead and see where you can get to.You have the ability, talent and commitment to move forward from here.

Please don't give up. For a fledgling choir who started with no musical director, you have done wonderful. The improvement you made after only 3 weeks with an MD was so noticeable that I feel that you should have been given at least 1 more chance to prove yourselves. My husband is not a choir fan but he was really excited about your choir. Keep going, keep safe and keep singing. Good luck for your future as a choir and for each of you individually. xx
