Watch, write questions and answer them

Use these steps to...
...to allow learners to find their own level at which to work.

Select video clips...
...that will help learners to brush up or revise language they have already learned.
  1. Set the scene in advance and tell the learners they will need to write two questions about the clip.

  2. Play the clip and give learners some time to write the questions.

  3. Gather all the questions in a box and mix them up.

  4. Invite learners, one at a time, to pick one question from the box. She/he reads it out loud and tries to answer it.

  5. Rerun the film, to confirm the answers and give a second chance to those that weren't able to answer. You may want to turn this into a game, giving 2 points to those that answered correctly the first time round and 1 point to those that got it right after the second go.
