Internet Internet in the classroom

You have access to a computer but not in the classroom

This probably means that you will want to use online resources to create paper exercises that can be used to support learning during the course or for the learners to use for self-study.

Recommendations
  • Read our guide on How to find what you need to make the most of your internet searches.
  • Tell learners that the source of your teaching and learning materials is online and encourage them to search for materials for themselves at home
  • Give learners who do not have IT user skills, information and advice about how to acquire them locally through taught courses or by other means
  • Make sure that you understand how to adapt and copy online resources and that you are familiar with copyright regulations that apply e.g. BBC Terms and Conditions
  • Browse these sites for additional materials and ideas to use for language teaching: Cilt, Becta, Information and communication technology for language teachers
