All EU nationals have the right to find employment in Spain without a work permit. The industries with the most opportunities are tourism, property, insurance and finances.

Before leaving:

• Have a look in the employment section of newspapers like The Times, The Financial Times, The Guardian, or the International Herald Tribune, for jobs in Spain.
• Look up the European Employment Services, EURES, database offering all kinds of jobs all over Europe. Appointed Euroadvisors at local Job Centres also have access to the service.
• Get a list of British companies with associates in Spain from the British Embassy in Spain.

Once you get there:

• Your Residence Permit should entitle you to search for work, so you don't need to get a separate Work Permit.
• Keep an eye on the job section, la sección empleo, in newspapers like ABC or El País.
• Have a look in your local Job Centre, la Oficina de Empleo for possible vacancies in your region.
