How to specify today, tonight, tomorrow... - a few basics

Due biglietti per sabato sera
A che ora comincia lo spettacolo?

  • To get tickets for a particular time you say per followed by the relevant word. Today is oggi, tonight is stasera. Tomorrow is domani and tomorrow evening is domani sera.

  • For a different day you say per followed by the day of the week: lunedì, martedì, mercoledì, giovedì, venerdì, sabato, domenica.

  • To specify what part of the day you just add the relevant word: mattina, morning, pomeriggio, afternoon, or sera, evening.

  • To ask 'What time does it start?' you say A che ora comincia? Similarly, to ask 'What time does it finish?' you say A che ora finisce? You don't translate 'does'
