A man finds out about the next train from Munich to Hamburg and reserves a seat and buys a return ticket to Hamburg.
The clip starts off with a short description in English of the main station in Munich. Then the narrator gives us some vocab to book tickets - When does the next train leave?, Where do I buy tickets?, Do I have to change?, A return to ... please, First or second class?, Do I have to reserve a place?, Smoking or non-smoking and the ticket prices are all covered.
The clip starts with a description in English of Mittenwald in Bavaria at the foot of the Alps. It gives information about the town and the many frescos that are on the walls of most buildings there. Vocabulary to ask for the last train home and what time this arrives is introduced, in spoken and written forms. More information in English about the Seilbahn is given, which takes people to the highest peak and the German-Austrian border.
