 Where is the taxi rank?
Gehen Sie an den Taxistand.
 Go to the taxi rank.

Wo ist die Apotheke?
 Where is the chemist's?
Sie gehen in die Apotheke.
 They are going into the chemist's.

Wo ist das Reisezentrum?
 Where is the travel centre?
Er geht in das (ins) Reisezentrum
 He is coming to the travel centre.

The words neben, in, an and hinter (called prepositions) can indicate motion. When they do so as in the above examples, die and das don't change but note how der in der Taxistand changes to den Taxistand.

This change is triggered by the prepositions neben, in, an and hinter when they indicate motion and all three - den, die and das are now in the accusative case.
