To say 'you have to...' or 'you must...' do something, you use il faut...
You usually follow il faut... with a verb in the infinitive, e.g. Il faut fermer la porte, 'You must close the door'.
Another way to give instructions is by using vous or tu with a verb, e.g. vous tournez..., 'you turn...', vous tirez..., 'you pull...', or tu tires..., if you're using the tu form.
The simplest way of all is to use the verb on its own, e.g. Fermez le robinet, 'Turn the tap off', Tourne à droite, 'Turn right'.
