How to say names and dates

Vous avez une chambre pour le vingt mars ?
Du mercredi vingt mars au vendredi vingt-deux

• To say the date in French, you use le + the number, followed by the name of the month, e.g. le vingt mars, 'the 20th March'



• However, for the first day of the month French you say premier, 'first' (not un, 'one').



• To say from one date until another, you say du, 'from the', followed by au, 'to the'.



• When making bookings, you may be asked to spell your name - Ça s'écrit comment ? 'How is that spelt?'
