How to say what you need


Vous pouvez m'aider ?
J'ai besoin d'essence


  • To ask for help you say Vous pouvez m'aider ? or Pouvez-vous m'aider ?, 'Can you help me?'

  • One way of saying what you need is Il me faut...

  • Another way of saying the same thing is J'ai besoin de..., literally 'I have need of...'.
