All EU nationals are entitled to search for work in France. Jobs can be found in a wide range of sectors but tourism is still where the majority of possibilities lie. France is gradually offering more and more employment prospects in business and advanced technology as the industry develops.

Before leaving:

• Have a look in newspapers like The Times, The Financial Times, The Guardian, or the International Herald Tribune, for job adverts from other European countries
• Look up the European Employment Services, EURES, database offering all kinds of jobs all over Europe. Appointed Euroadvisors at local Job Centres also have access to the service.

Once you get there:

• Keep an eye on the job advertisements in French newspapers like Le Monde or Le Figaro. Consider speaking to a consultant at a local French Employment Agency ANPE - Agence Nationale pour l'Emploi
• Get a list of British companies with associates in France from the British Embassy
