Chauve/Chorve
Meaning: This is a Wigan word that I've never heard anywhere else in the country. To chauve/chorve (not sure on the spelling) means to annoy or irritate, to be a chorve is to be annoying or irritating but it also means to annoy in a really cheesy way. A typical wigan sentance would be "you're a dead bad chorve you". which means "One is most annoying old chap".
