Three Minute Heroes

tell us about yourself:
I currently work within the BBC Lancashire Open Centre, helping members
of the public to use computers and access the internet. I am a 'Lancashire
lad', born and bred in the county, and as youll see from my film,
I enjoy a bit of a singsong.
your story about?
My story concerns overcoming shyness and self-consciousness; finding the
inspiration to 'have-a-go' at things and not worrying what other
you choose to tell this particular story?
Usually within a family, the younger siblings look up to the older ones
and have aspirations of imitating their achievements. I always fancied
having a bash at singing, but didnt have the bottle until I was
inspired by my brother. So its part have a go, and part thank-you
the experience of making your digital story like?
Having seen digital stories before through work, I had an idea of what
I thought the process would be like. However, I didnt imagine the
procedure to be so in-depth.
the course encouraged me to be creative, and stretched my prior skills
and knowledge as well as teaching me new ways of looking at things. I
also picked up a lot of tips and tricks, which I will be able to use in

other people on the course to be extremely friendly and helpful, and that
everyone wanted to help everyone else . Working to personal goals and
wanting to do the best job they possibly could, but as a collective group
rather than competitively.
