Singing and Me by Stephen Corless

Please tell us about yourself:
My life flows on in 'endless song'. That’s how my story starts and is an accurate reflection of the way my life goes. Singing and music is a very big part of what I do in my spare time. When I’m not singing I write poetry and have recently started on my second novel about my time in the RAF. I live in Wigan with my wife Enid and our daughters, Leah and Jenny. We are all very much pie-eaters and enjoy our lives 'up North'.

What is your story about?
My story is about singing. From early on in my life right up to the present day, where, as I approach my half century, I’m able to put something back into the community for all the hours of enjoyment I’ve had singing.

Why did you choose to tell this particular story?
To tell everybody that singing is good for you. It helps build confidence, exercises the lungs, provides contact with other like minds and is a vehicle for raising money for charity. Brilliant.

What was the experience of making your digital story like?
The experience of making a second story as part of a masterclass was extremely stimulating for me. So much so, I have discovered that I want to do it full-time. I intend to produce a movie at home and crack on with the film “Norman” for which I have already written the script. The team were an absolute joy to work with. I’m extremely grateful to them for their guidance.
