ago which left me with asphasia and the loss of the use of my right arm.
I am now
on the road to recovery, slowly learning to read ,write and speak again.
your story about?
It is about suffering a motorbike accident, aged eighteen, and the after
effects - struggling to speak, physical impairments and spending a great
deal of time isolated.
you choose to tell this particular story?
The accident changed my life. I was young with everything to live for
and now it is one long struggle to build a new life. Simple things like
reading, writing and speaking all have to be re-learnt.
the experience of making your digital story like?
Exciting - it has helped my speech. I have regained memories of that period
of my life. It has helped my confidence by meeting people and going to
new and strange places and situations.
experience has been challenging and rewarding. I would tell anybody to
have a go at digital storytelling.
