Anna Sky Hulton wields her lightsaber and feels the Force...

quoteStar Wars fever has started up again and it is no coincidence that with the release of the Third Episode there is a computer game to 'match'.

This game, taking the name of the film, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, closely follows the plot and at times uses footage from the film.

Star Wars: Episode III is a third-person action game where you get the chance to play as Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi as they take on the Evil forces. As Anakin you will strengthen the future Darth Vader's Jedi skills and lightsaber techniques, getting the chance to use the force to shield yourself and push enemies out the way. As Obi-Wan you will use the force to control enemies' actions and draw on precise lightsaber attacks.

Taking place in the locations of the film, over more than 16 levels, this game can prove a little repetitive at times as you take on the enemies. On occasion it just becomes a 'button-bashing' fest, but special combinations will result in more impressive moves which all add to your character's experience. At the end of each mission the characters can improve various aspects such as their force push and force stun, depending on the amount of experience they have gained during the past mission.

Nick Gillard, Star Wars stunt co-ordinator worked closely with the development team, which is evident when you see the characters' movement throughout the game. Gameplay is interspersed quickly and sometimes frantically with game and film cut scenes. As well as including some stunts from the film, Gillard also over-saw new sequences produced especially for the game accompanied by music from Academy Award®-winning Skywalker Sound.

Definitely more suited to the younger fans, this game could spoil some of the fun of watching the film for the first time, as it includes over 12 minutes of footage taken directly from the film. If you are a real Star Wars fan I would suggest you buy this game after seeing the film.

quoteSave the opening sequence for the big screen, I'm sure you've been waiting for this moment for many years now.
