One
of the stars of The Office is Lucy Davis, who plays Dawn, the put
upon receptionist who is going to shock a few people in the new
series...
How
did you get the part in The Office?
It was December 99 and I'd been up for a couple of pilots for the
BBC and this was one of them and it was the one that I liked and
I just thought I really want to be part of this and fortunately
that was the one that came through.
What's
it like filming it - is it a really good laugh?
We don't stop laughing, it's fantastic cos I just think this is
seven weeks now of just laughing. It's brilliant.
Your
career has been so varied from the Archers (where you play Hayley)
period dramas, and this.
It's good for me as an actor because you like to play different
roles, so you end up having quite a good show reel anyway.
Most
people probably won't know about your famous dad - Jasper Carrott
- have you tried to keep that as low-profile as possible?
Yes - it doesn't really work. When I first started out it was just
important that we kept our careers separate, largely because my
dad had always been really private with his family.
Is
your office boring? Why not cheer everyone up with a game
of
Office Dares...
