When
Alixir recently toured Asia for the second time, he left his mark
in Hong Kong with the longest exclusive techno set played there
ever, which earned him the title of HKClubbing.com resident DJ (Asia’s
largest online clubbing magazine and his exclusive Hong Kong agent),
even though he is UK based.
He played an unplanned, unbroken set that spanned an incredible
8 hours (covered in a South China Morning Post article), and every
genre known in the field of techno, acid house and detroit techno
amongst others.
Each time he has played the clubs in Hong Kong and it’s surrounding
provinces, he has been asked back to play headlining sets again
and again.

Alixir
has also played many times at the legendary Le Bateau (Liverpool,
UK, ex home to Voodoo where Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox, Billy Nasty
etc have also played) amongst other well known underground clubs
spanning England, and is befitting of this category with his deep,
dark but definitely varied uncompromising style.
Alixir will definitely be a top name to look out for in the future
within the field of techno. With a workload as frantic as the music
he plays, Alixir is currently the promoter, organiser and resident
headlining DJ of “Possibly Infected” (described as the best monthly
night north of Liverpool’s “Bugged Out!” by the BBCi online magazine),
a techno night presented in the UK by HKClubbing.com, and staged
at an underground club in Lancaster where he is based.
Aside from this he’s had various residencies over the last 12 years
throughout London and Liverpool in the UK. To immerse himself fully
in the industry, Alixir also reviews club events and promotional
releases for HKClubbing.com in Asia and is currently receiving material
from over 50 major techno and electronica labels worldwide (Intec,
Advanced, Jerk, Primate, Primevil, Potential, Planet Rhythm, Planet
E, Gotham Grooves, Unknown Records, Tzpun etc).

Not
only does he play music, he knows it inside out and personally feels
it. Alixir’s mixing skills are flawless. Pitching up within a couple
bars and the lightening quick “cut and paste” method he has adopted
over the last 12 years make him unique in style alone. Often mixing
bits and pieces from multiple tracks (on 3 decks occasionally) into
other records, he sets out to create a sound that is both fresh
and rarely heard of, the true definition of mixing.
As a DJ, Alixir leaves his mark wherever he plays, often leaving
the dance floor both breathless and in rapture but still within
his control.
A talent
which has been proven in the 9 month advance bookings he has received
to go back and headline events in Hong Kong and Cyprus so far for
this coming year.
