She tells tales of dancing like souls possessed, DJs playing god
and woo woos - dance heaven!

If throwing your arms in the air and dancing to the DJ box surrounded
by a sea of smiling faces, complete with old skool (apologies for
spelling it like that but you know what I mean….) ‘woo woos’ is
your idea of dance heaven then if you missed Saturday night you
should be kicking yourself really quite hard in the shins…
Feel’s
9th birthday was like a leap back in time for two old ravers (yes
we can remember when Bowlers was busy and Cream the height of glam
clubbing).
Laid out over two rooms - one like an amphitheatre complete with
chanting Greek chorus the other more disco like - there is no way
to describe it other than saying Feel rocked.
The place was packed - and quite rightly! With George Thompson v
Dave Seaman on the decks in the main room - where I admit we did
end up spending most of the night.
If you like your DJs to be playing to their decks and keeping their
head down, playing ‘serious’ music then this would have driven you
mad.
If on the other hand DJs playing god is your thing then this would
have had you in rapture.
And
with the mix of ‘Sweet Dreams’ - yes Annie Lennox is alive and well
and living in Preston - there was nothing for the crowd to do other
than go mad, shout, stamp their feet and generally dance like souls
possessed!!
What more can you say - great people, great club, really friendly
door staff, plenty of female toilets and university bar prices!!!
Quote to describe the night has to come from Darius, ‘There’s a
lot of love in this room’, hmm I wondered if he’s ever been?
