On
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July, more than 500 vintage vehicles,
including sleek sports cars as well as huge steam engines, will
gather at Hamilton House Farm near Garstang for the annual Garstang
Classic Vehicle Show and Vintage Rally.
There
will be military vehicles, miniature steamers and displays in a
specially built arena, but the stars of the show will always be
the sports cars. Theres always a crowd round the Alfas, Maseratis
and MGBs!
Individual
entrants and members of classic car clubs from across the North
West are also gathering: The Sporting Escort Owners Club,
Lancashire Capri Owners Club and West Lancs M.G. Club are
just a few of the organisations taking part.
The
classic cars and vintage vehicles will be joined by colourful and
traditional fairground attractions and donkey rides. One of the
biggest draws for collectors and renovators is likely to be the
Auto Jumble where original, but often obsolete car parts can be
bought. Food and drinks will also be available.
Garstang
Classic Vehicle Show and Vintage Rally takes place at Hamilton House
Farm on the A586 between St Michaels and Garstang. The show is open
10am - 4pm on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July 2005.

is £5.00 for adults and £4.00 for senior citizens. Children
are free.
