Richard Arkwright , born Preston…… invented the cotton water frame

James Hargreaves, invented the spinning Jenny, 1st machine to spin yarn.

Jeremiah Horrocks, born Toxteth, Liverpool ……. Astronomer and scientist, worked out transit of Venus and forecast the 1769 transit of Venus that sent Captain Cook to the Pacific and Australia.
