Although a Mancunian, I do a lot of work in Lancaster and Morecambe and have built quite an affinity for the area. It was terrific to see Morecambe get to Wembley and even better to see them achieve their deserved promotion.Personally, I am a Rugby League supporter, having followed my beloved Swinton Lions for almost 50 years! In all that time, although we have won the Challenge Cup a few times in our history - WE NEVER PLAYED AT WEMBLEY! So - well done to The Shrimps. I hope you progress quickly up the Football League ladder. Well done Sammy Mac. Watched you many times at Old Trafford. Keep up the good work.

It will be great to say 'we were there' on the day after the oficial openeing of the new Wembley Stadium when Morecambe yet again won a trophy final. i,m one of the 1000s who do not go the watch Morecambe on a regular basis, maybe 2/3 games per season, however went to Wembley to cheer them on....i'm glad i did. the whole day was one i will remember for years, no trouble,good atmosphere, a game where comming back from 1-0 nil down is so sweet and a goal worthy of winning any game.Well done MFC.
