What a lovely Gudgeon! That has to be a British record, im sure of it. I caught a 25lb Barbel from the Severn in Alverley the other week, hauled it in on just 4lb line! How fabulous. Cya xx

lovely fish mate. my biggest ever fish is 49lb 9oz mirror carp. i caught it in dream lakes. in france. u shold try it there sometime it is 500 pound for WEEKEND

i to am a keen angler and have been wetting a line for some 19 years ever since my dad first took me on the river wharfe in otley. since then my knowledge of fishing has expanded along with maturaty.i feel that allthough i like to enourage fishing in the anglers of tomorrow that not enough guidance is out there to teach young anglers the basics of the modern angler i.e. landing and handlingfish clearing rubbish from there peg and the surrounding area and general respect toward other anglers.

This was a fantastic reference as one could pick the programme to listen to depending on your target species, time of year or type of fishing. A few years ago I asked you about 'hot spots' on the Ribble for both Chub and Barbel.
Since then I've fished this river very hard and been rewarded with Chub of over 7lb in weight and Barbel close to 11lb.
The advice you gave me about talking to other anglers and listening to what they had to say was very usefull, as was you comment about anglers who say nothing have nothing to tell in any case!
For my part I now readilly advise other anglers and try to assist them all I can. I now appreciate just how hard fishing a river can be and on the times when you get it right just how rewarding they are.

wow they are some fantastic fish. i love fishing its my greatest passion my biggest fish is 15lb 8oz common carp but my dream is to catch a 20 pounder, my dad caught a 23lb 1oz mirror from heapey in chorley the other week am i am so jelouse. tight line best wishes and fishes lee
