what a lovely stroll. Brought back many memories. I have been researching my ancestry and found the family of Ormerods and Hayhursts who lived at Old Laund, Higham in the 1840's and before. Wish I could find out more about them. Its difficult being so far away. I have many memories of the Pendle area as I grew up there. Keith used to walk the hills around all the villages on and around Pendle, Margaret was brought up in Fence, Keith came from Padiham, we weremarried at Fence Church 1960, came to N.Z. in 1964. Been back twice for a walk down memory lane, in 2006 we climbed Pendle Hill.this a great site.
