Play It Again: Alan Ramsbottom

Listen to the story of one of Lancashire's unsung heroes - cyclist Alan Ramsbottom.

He may not as well known as Sir Chris Hoy but back in the sixties Alan Ramsbottom made a real impact, finishing in the top 20 in the Tour de France and winning many other domestic and international titles - he even has a a road named after him in his home town of Great Harwood!

This programme presented by Steve Becker was first broadcast in 2005...

A fantastic interview. No pretentions, told it like it was in his own northern 'get on with it' style. A must for any cycling fans.
