Gilly makes sure he's on time for his shifts at the Watch Lab...

The Watch Lab team

Monday 25th August - Friday 29th August

The Watch Lab is a family owned and run business in Preston. The Partners are Jonathan Barker, his wife Zoë and brother Jeremy Barker. The company was started by Jonathan in October 2000. Having spent many years covering the UK and Channel Islands in the jewellery trade selling brands like ellesse, adidas, Cyma and FILA, Jonathan got to know the watch business very well.

Opening its first branch in Liverpool, the company employed a 'Rolex Accredited Watchmaker' to set the standards for all the watch repairs. Within 12 months the company had opened further branches in Leeds and Preston which is their head office.

Camelot Theme Park

Monday 18th August - Friday 22nd August

Gilly joins the workforce of the medieval kingdom of Camelot Theme Park in Chorley which celebrates its 25th birthday this year.

Our Gilly was too hard at work to have a go on Knightmare, the 87ft high rollercoaster reaches a G force of 5, higher than any other ride in the UK. Well, that was his excuse!

As well as rides - Camelot has a working farm, a daily jousting tournament and magic shows.

The jousting arena is packed daily as the legendary Sir Lancelot and his fearsome knights do battle in the presence of King Arthur.

The theme park also has its own hotel, Park Hall, complete with Cadburys and Bassett themed suites!

Quenchers and Longridge Hair and Beauty

Monday 11th August - Friday 15th August

Longridge Hair and Beauty was founded in 1988. It all began with a small "trendy" ladies clothes shop called 'Depot'. Within no time 'Depot' expanded into menswear and purchased the next door property - part of which became a hairdressing salon. Business boomed within the salon and over a five year period developed into Longridge's "One Stop Shop" - providing all Hair, Nails and Beauty treatments for men and women.

In 2004 Longridge Hair and Beauty acquired the corner property adjoining the business - and Quench Cafe Bar was born.

Today 'Quench' is a fully licensed bustling cafe bar during the day - and at weekends it is transformed into a continental style wine bar.
