Weekend Presenters

An Accrington lass born and bred, Alex has grown up with BBC Radio Lancashire.  As a child she'd admire the gleaming, posh, broadcasting van that turned up to local league cricket matches.  Now she drives the van, she realises it's not quite that posh.  Last year, Alex found a half eaten sausage roll on the back seat.

As the captain of the BBC Radio Lancashire Netball Team, Alex has superb handling skills and has led the team to a championship title.  Shortly after picking up the fragile glass trophy at the presentation evening, Alex dropped it from a great height.

Sport plays a major role in Alex's life.   She enjoys watching football, golf and cricket.  Alex has recently bought her first home, just a stone's throw from Old Trafford Cricket Ground.  We'd better warn the club to hide the china.
