Monday 17th - Friday 21st March 2008...

Garlands Florists on Union Road at Oswaldtwistle is a family run business. Rachel McClure manages the shop with the help of her husband Simon, mother, Barbara and father, Ron.

As well as the bright, fragrant bouquets for all occasions, Garlands also sell balloons, greeting cards and gifts. It also has an upstairs purpose-designed Wedding Studio, where you can organise everything for your day under one roof.

Personal callers are welcome during normal business hours but, an appointment is advisable should you wish a visit to the Wedding Studio.

Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board staff

Monday 10th - Friday 14th March 2008...

Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist board are based in Chorley and employ a team of 22 staff who work to support tourism businesses in the Lancashire and Blackpool sub-region, led by chief executive Mike Wilson.

LBTB's Vision for the sub region is that by 2016 Blackpool will be transformed into a world-class visitor destination and Lancashire will be established as the destination for mature and discerning visitors.

This year they are also co-ordinating Taste Lancashire 08, Lancashire’s food and drink year, in partnership with Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture celebrations. Gilly interviewed five members of the staff about their roles and backgrounds.

CGA Recruitment has been established since 1997 supplying staff throughout East Lancashire.
