Polish teacher Ewa Armbruster from Lancaster's Adult Education College came in to chat about teaching English to the new migrants and teaching Polish to Lancashire folk. She tried to teach Tony Livesey some of the lingo, too.

She is less than impressed by Tony's charms, though...

Half Polish Rebecca Pukiello went along to Fylde Fresh and Fabulous in Weeton to chat to the owners and workers. Polish workers make up half of the farm and factory's workforce.

Fylde Fresh and Fabulous provide English lessons for their Polish staff and help them with bank accounts and settle in Weeton.

The BBC Radio Lancashire reporter discovers that Jasek, Woitek and Piotr prefer Polish women...

BBC Radio Lancashire's Tim Padfield speaks to Bill Rushworth who has set up a Polish charity shop on Morecambe Promenade.

He was running two charity shops for International Aid two years ago and he tells Tim it became like a Polish Embassy. He ended up visiting Poland and found it was in desperate need for help...

David Cam from Blackpool's Pleasure Beach tells Brett Davison that 40% of their workforce is Eastern European.

He said: "They're very welcome and work really hard. They work extremely hard and party hard!"

Cam says an influx of Polish people to the resort is not a new phenomenon. He says a lot of Polish people came over to Blackpool during the war...

Builder Przemyslaw Kowalski tells Tony Livesey why he came to work in Blackburn and why young people are tempted to settle in the UK.

He earns the same in a week he would earn in a month back home - and he was in management in Poland...
