Poles Apart?

Garth Haley looks at the lives of migrant workers in Morecambe...

This coming week here on BBC Radio Lancashire, we're taking a detailed look at how the county is being affected by the wave of immigrants from eastern Europe.
Already, there are 55,000 people from 10 countries, including Poland and Bulgaria, living in the north west.

In a series called 'New Kids from the Bloc' we'll be telling the stories of these new communities - and their impact on our local life, from schools and hospitals to cuisine, culture and the building trade.

Listen to Garth Haley's feature on how the Polish community is taking root in Morecambe...
