Darwen Rangers were only formed in 1991 but they already have 16 teams - and a Soccer School...
Darwen Rangers started in 1991 as an Under 9 five-a-side team. They have grown ever since and now have 16 teams - ranging from U7s to U15s and a Soccer School for Under 6s.
The 13 boys teams play in the Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and District Junior and Youth Football League. The Under 10 and Under 11 Girls play in the Lancashire Football Association League and the Under 12 Girls play in the North Valley Youth Football League. The Under 9 Boys competing in the Blackburn Junior Summer League.
Darwen Rangers are Charter Standard Club - the FA's seal of approval - and all teams having at least one qualified Level 1 coach as part of their management team, as well as a qualified first-aider.
2006 was a fantastic year for the club. They were named as North West Charter Standard Club of the Year and Blackburn & District Sports Club of the Year. They have an established a sporting link with Darwen Cricket Club and a sponsorship deal with RTE Fabrications Ltd.
It's a family-oriented club with over 200 members, where participation, sportsmanship and improvement are more important than victories.
Darwen Rangers are keen to sign new players for the Soccer School, Under 7s, Under 10 Girls, Under 10 Boys, the Under 15 Eagles and Under 15 Hawks.

David Smith Memorial Tournament 2007 - Under 14s and Under 11 Girls won their sections while the Under 9s finished runners-up.
