Life in the fast lane

Sue Hendey tracks the work of Lancashire's Motorway Police and Highways Agency Traffic Officers...

Strong winds and abnormal loads are just a couple of the incidents that can cause delays on our motorways and it's down to Lancashire's Motorway Police and Highways Agency Traffic Officers to pick up the pieces and get us all moving again... and that even applies to swans who often use mistake the tarmac for a lake!

BBC Radio Lancashire reporter Sue Hendey donned her high visibility jacket for a behind-the-scenes look at how incidents occur, how they are dealt with and more importantly how they can be avoided.
