BBC Radio Lancashire is searching the county for someone with "the gift" - the gift of the gab. If that’s you or someone you know, then there’s a chance to win the opportunity of a lifetime … a 60-minute radio programme broadcast on BBC Radio Lancashire and across the world on the Internet. We will be holding auditions on the BBC Bus at Marine Hall in Fleetwood on Wednesday 22 November and in the BBC Open Centre in Blackburn on Saturday 25 November. You will need to prepare a 60-second introduction piece that tells us a little bit about you and, most importantly, makes an impression with our panel of expert judges. If you’re interested and would like this gift from BBC Radio Lancashire, then register your details by calling 0845-305-9000. Ten successful people will go forward from the auditions and will be required to attend “Presenter School” – a 4-hour intensive training session on Wednesday, 6 December at BBC Radio Lancashire in Blackburn. The session will cover areas such as: - interview technique
- script writing and
- how to deal with radio phone-ins!
Our judges will pick five candidates to face the public vote and they will appear with Ted Robbins on BBC Radio Lancashire from 9am on Monday 11 December. The winner will work with a producer to create a 60-minute programme (for broadcast at the end of December) and a commemorative CD and certificate. Call 0845-305-9000 to enter - but remember you must be at least 18! |
